Sorry to be a complete dunce an all that but i can't seem to find a link in mu user CP to set up an album...

can anyone tell me where to locate it...

I know I'm thick and its probably really obvious, but help pleeeez...

I disabled albums a while back as it was killing our bandwidth (people hotlinking on other sites, etc). There are plenty of other services which are far better than the vBulletin built-in gallery such as Flickr and Photobucket.

how do i link in photos from flickr? i'm retarded with things like this...

copy and paste the link to your picture and wrap [img] tags round it (the little button with 2 mountains and a yellow sky does this for you. I'm sure there's something in the faq....

I've deliberatly left a space in the [ IMG] so you can see what should be pasted in above.

In Photobucket just copy the link from the IMG code box that appears when you hover over your picture.

In flickr you need to go to the image page, click on 'all sizes' choose the one which is less than 600px on the long side for the sake of people on slow net connections and and copy the image source link. It'll be something like http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3526/4071179511_3fa17d05d3_o.jpg If you're on flickr and you want to play by the site rules and get the photo to link back to the original photo page, do the [img] tags bit first, then highlight the picture, copy the flickr page link and hit the 'URL' button (picture of the world and a chain) and paste the flickr page URL in like so....



if handwritten your code will look like:

[URL ="http://www.flickr.com/photos/94983576@N00/4071179511/"][IMG ]http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3526/4071179511_3fa17d05d3_o.jpg[/IMG][/URL]
